No award winning attributes, but this one was rather enjoyable. Specifically the dialogue that reflects the era in which this movie was created. The script was completed by none other than the legendary Edward Wood Jr.

Melodrama. After impulsively eloping, high school students Tommy Blaine and Helen Newton please their parents by participating in a small second ceremony, after which they move in with the Blaines. Despite his dream of becoming a doctor, Tommy goes to work at a garage. There he is approached by the sinister Grimes, who suggests that the youth receive stolen automobiles. Despite the financial need, Tommy resists the temptation. When Helen later complains about Tommy's parents, however, he rushes to the ice cream parlor, where he fights over the desirable Marla with her boyfriend Mike and the villanous Grimes. Embarrassed by his son-in-law's behavior, Mr. Newton insists that the newlyweds move into his home and formulates rules by which Tommy must abide. Desperate for privacy, Tommy buys a home he cannot afford. When Helen bitterly contrasts their simple wedding with the elaborate ceremony uniting Marla and Mike, Tommy accepts Grimes's offer. Riding in a contraband car, Tommy and Helen are chased and apprehended by the police. In court the judge places Tommy on probation and lectures his parents and in-laws, who join forces to send the young man to college.
