Mariana Hill
From the cast photo of Paradise, Hawaiian Style (1966) A familiar actress of the '60s and '70s, Mariana Hill was born the daughter of a building contractor. Because of the nature of the business, the family moved around often. In addition to being a native of California, she has lived in Canada, England and Spain. As a result, she became proficient at various accents. Whether it was a French accent (as Gabrielle in Redline 7000), or a German accent (Hogan's Heroes), she could be counted on to deliver. She started acting as a teenager, apprenticing at the La Jolla Playhouse, and she also studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York under Sanford Meisner. Being a 5' 4" dark haired beauty certainly didn't hurt. She portrayed an Hawaiian girl in "Paradise, Hawaiian Style", a Sicilian girl in "Run For Your Life", and a Spanish seorita on "Bonanza".

She has also been a model, (she was always turning up on some magazine cover in the 1960's), and was an acting coach at the Lee Strasberg Institute in London until it closed in 1996. Her real name is Mariana Schwarzkopf, (which means "black head" in German), and she is the cousin of General Norman Schwarzkopf.
